W.M.J. Fernando & Co. commenced operations in 1959 as importers and distributors of Burma teak and later expanded to plywood, MDF, electrical items, and hardware items in 1980. After immense growth in products and volume, it was incorporated as a private limited company in 1991. A subsidiary Decola Trading (PVT) Ltd. was formed in 1998 to expand the reach of its products and to better serve customers.
Furthermore, in an effort to cater to the growing demand locally, Ramlo Ply Industries, a plywood factory, was constructed and specializes in manufacturing high-quality plywood sheets and doors, which has grown to export its products to multiple countries.
Thereafter, another expansion took place by forming the Ramlo Panel factory, which manufactures PVC ceiling sheets and PVC foam boards using high-quality raw materials to provide our customers with the best quality products to meet their requirements.
Ramlo Fiber Exports (PVT) Ltd. was also created to be an export-oriented company dealing with coco peat and coir fiber products, taking advantage of the abundance and high-quality raw materials available In Sri Lanka
The group currently employs over 500 people and has become a well-reputed and trusted company based in Sri Lanka, with a large customer base, which provides a large range of high-quality products.
